On the dotted line, Please.

Today, we went to our Lawyer's office @ Yonge & Sheppard to sign the final set of documents until closing - which, as we have a new development, could be as far as 6 months away. However, move-in-date is set for anywhere between November 15th and the 20th!

I stopped by our new place on the way home from the Lawyers and peeked into our windows for a nice long drink of our layout. I can not wait to head over to Rona's and buy our paint hues and get started! We originally intended to sell all our earthy possessions, and we still may, but it looks like some of our favourite pieces of furniture would still look fabulous in our new home - such as our delicious, ginormous, chocolate brown leather sectional. Anyway, here's a sampling of our momentous day!

Gorgeous Audi that I followed for a bit on the way home. A sign of what's ahead, perhaps?? ;)

After months of research, preparation, negotiations, multiple visit to the lawyers office (& the bank) and signing countless sheets of paper - as of Thursday, November 4th - Sam & I are officially homeowners of a beautiful Brownstone town-home on Wallace Avenue. With only one more set of papers to sign, we will own a small portion of Toronto. 700 meters from our current location @ Bloor & Dundas West, nestled in a quiet street, our unit is nearly finished. Move-in date is set for November 15, 2010 and we are counting down the days to run through our 1008sq ft, 3 bedroom, 2 floored mini-pad.

Along with the excitement of having our "own" place - as opposed to tolerating horrid kitchen cupboards and a bathtub you would never dare indulge in - new creative juices are flowing through our veins. Paint hues, furniture, design possibilities are endless! Here we go, dreaming away!

Follow along as we journey to furnish, colour and design our new house into a beautiful home!
